By now I hope everyone has had a chance to review and digest Tipton Community School Corporation’s Reopening Plan, the Plan Overview, and Essential Points. If you have questions because of the changes to the start of this school year, we encourage you to continue to send your questions about the TCSC Reopening Plan and/or TCSC Virtual and we’ll continue to respond and post online as quickly as possible. Click the link here for direct access to the questions and answers form. As a reminder, the plan is dynamic and can quickly change as evidenced by the new state mandate regarding masks made by Governor Holcomb yesterday. While he expressed his interest in leaving it up to local districts in collaboration with their local and state health departments “to get back to in school instruction when it’s safe and where it’s safe”. He will sign an executive order mandating Hoosiers wear masks effective on Monday. We will be updating our Reopening Plan to reflect the new state mandate and impact at Tipton Community School Corporation. We’ll send out a note and the updated plan to district families on Monday. Meanwhile, I want to emphasize again that to ensure the success of this plan and the safety of our students and staff we will need to continue to work together and follow the recommended safety protocols and prevention measures, whether we agree in full, in part, or not at all, with what we have initially outlined in our plan. As a reminder, if you are interested in TCSC Virtual, please fill out our virtual questionnaire linked here. As the first day of school approaches, we know that it will look and feel different than the year before. There will be many changes in practices, procedures, and protocols. We also know that current circumstances won’t allow us to do all the things we used to do and in the way we used to do them. We are, and will continue to do the best we can, with what we have, and in the best interests of the students and staff in our district. #TiptonPride Dr. Ryan Glaze Superintendent view image
