 At TCSC, our commitment to student learning extends beyond the classroom to ensure a seamless and supportive educational experience. Recognizing the importance of accessibility and transparency, we have consolidated essential academic tools and information into one convenient, easy-to-navigate location.

This Student Portal functions as a digital backpack—offering students direct access to instructional materials, digital platforms, and support resources. It also serves as a helpful guide for parents seeking to better understand the digital components that support our curriculum.

Key Resources:

  • PowerSchool
    A secure platform for students and parents to monitor grades, attendance, assignments, and teacher feedback in real time.
  • Google Classroom
    A virtual learning environment where teachers post announcements, assignments, and resources. Students can submit work and collaborate with classmates.
  • Clever
    A single sign-on portal that provides streamlined access to a variety of learning applications and online programs used across the district.
  • Google Workspace (G Suite for Education)
    A suite of productivity tools—including Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drive—that supports student collaboration, communication, and digital learning.
  • ParentSquare
    A unified communication platform that allows schools to send messages, alerts, and reminders to parents and guardians. It supports two-way communication and ensures families stay informed and engaged.

At Tipton Community School Corporation (TCSC), we are committed to ensuring that all students have equitable access to the digital tools necessary for academic success. As a 1:1 district serving grades K–12, it is essential that students and families understand how to access and use our core digital resources effectively. This page serves as a comprehensive overview of the platforms we use, how to log in, and what to expect from each system.
 

Google Workspace for Education (Gmail, Classroom, Docs, and More)

TCSC is a Google Workspace for Education district. Students and faculty use Google tools for communication, collaboration, and learning. Most students will access their Gmail daily for updates, while assignments, class materials, and teacher feedback are housed in Google Classroom. Students may also work within Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, all accessible after logging in to their TCSC Google account.

How to Sign In
Visit: www.google.com
Email Format: first initial + lastname + @tcsc.k12.in.us
Example: jsmith@tcsc.k12.in.us
Password Format: firstname + lastname + lunch code
Example: johnsmith1234

Once signed in, students can access all Google tools via the Google apps grid icon in the top-right corner.
 

PowerSchool Student Portal

TCSC utilizes PowerSchool to manage student information, including grades, assignments, attendance, and schedules. This platform is accessible to both students and parents and provides real-time insight into academic performance.

How to Sign In
Visit: https://tcsc.powerschool.com/public/
Username: firstname + lastname (e.g., johnsmith)
Password: Lunch code (e.g., 1234)
 

Clever

Clever is a single sign-on platform that helps streamline access to many of the learning applications used by TCSC. It is especially helpful for elementary students who benefit from centralized access and simplified logins.

How to Sign In
Visit: https://www.clever.com/in/tcsc
Sign in with Google using TCSC credentials (email and password as noted above)

How It Works
Once logged in, students will see a personalized dashboard with icons for available apps. Depending on the resource, Clever may:

  • Automatically log students in after their first access
  • Create and manage user accounts and classroom rosters
  • Store and autofill passwords
  • Simplify access to tools like i-Ready, BrainPOP, and other integrated apps

 

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is TCSC’s official communication platform used to streamline school-to-home messaging. It supports announcements, alerts, direct messages, and two-way communication between staff and families—all in one place.
Features

  • Receive school and classroom updates via email, text, app notification, or web portal
  • Communicate directly with teachers, principals, and staff
  • View upcoming events, sign digital forms, and respond to RSVPs or volunteer requests
  • Supports two-way messaging with translation in over 100 languages


How to Sign In

  • Visit: www.parentsquare.com or download the ParentSquare app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Use the email address or phone number listed in your child’s PowerSchool account
  • If you are new to the platform, click "Register" and follow the prompts to create your account

Important: Make sure your contact information in PowerSchool is current to ensure you receive all communications.
