Library

The Library and Media Centers at Tipton Community School Corporation are vibrant, student-centered spaces designed to support learning, exploration, and creativity. Following recent renovations, each library now features modern, flexible seating, updated technology, and welcoming environments that promote both independent study and collaborative learning.

More than just a place to check out books, our libraries foster literacy, research skills, digital citizenship, and a lifelong love of reading. Students have access to a wide range of print and digital resources, curated to support academic coursework, personal interests, and project-based learning.

Each center is staffed by knowledgeable media professionals who assist students with locating materials, conducting research, and using educational technology. Whether working on a class project, exploring an interest area, or relaxing with a good book, students will find that our newly renovated Library and Media Centers are built to meet their diverse needs.

These revitalized spaces serve as dynamic learning environments where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are shared, and every student is empowered to grow as a critical thinker and digital learner.

TCSC Media Center Goals

  • To provide equal access to materials for both staff and students that will support and enrich the curriculum, taking into consideration the varied interests, abilities, and maturity levels of the students served
  • To provide materials that will stimulate growth in factual knowledge, as well as literary appreciation
  • To provide a wide range of materials at different levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal, and representing different points of view. The inclusion of any item in a collection does not necessarily mean that the media center or school advocates or endorses the contents of that item.
  • To provide a comprehensive collection appropriate for the users of the library media center
