The students of Tipton Middle School would like to cordially invite parents, family, and community members to the annual World of Creativity Talent Show on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 P.M. in the THS auditorium. We hope you will join us for an entertaining evening of talent performances followed by the recognition of award winners in all five contest categories (Art, Photography, Creative Writing, Video, and Music Performance). Student work may be selected for recognition as first, second, or third place grade level winners. Additionally, Best of Grade and Best of Show winners will be awarded medals, trophies, and other prizes. Over 60 students will be recognized in all! Entries in the Art, Photography, and Creative Writing categories will be displayed in the TMS library for students to enjoy from April 30th through May 7th. This display will be relocated to the THS auditorium lobby to be viewed by family and friends just prior to the WOC Talent Show. Lobby doors will open at 6:00 PM and refreshments will be shared as friends and family enjoy the displays of student work. Auditorium doors open at 6:30 PM for seating.
A reminder that Monday, April 8 is an eLearning Day for TCSC.
Tipton Middle School will be conducting a metal detector drill on Tuesday, March 12. This will be a limited drill at a specific entry of the school. By conducting this drill, members of the TMS staff will have a better understand how to use the metal detectors.

Members of the new 8th grade Introduction to Agriculture class and TMS FFA presented to the school board on all that they have been able to accomplish during their first year. Members shared about their class activities - Job Shadowing, Food Science Sensory Evaluation, Soils Labs, Team building activities, FFA basics - FFA trips - National Convention and District Kickoff, and the CDE's and LDE's - Parliamentary Procedure, Livestock Skillathon, Dairy Foods, Soils, Demos/Speeches - that they have been able to learn from. They described how much they have grown in their speaking and leadership ability due to the opportunities to experience the curriculum and FFA activities.Their eyes have been opened to the vast career opportunities within the agriculture industry. Funding opportunities have come from a Tipton Community Foundation Grant, Tipton Livestock Boosters, and support from other community members and parents. The TMS FFA has also received a National FFA Living to Serve grant for their Meal packing event during FFA week. They also showed appreciation to their teacher & advisor - Mrs. Hartley.
