The Indiana State Board of Education has released the schools’ accountability grades.  Tipton Community School Corporation received a ” B.”  The grade is based on the percent of students passing the ISTEP and the amount of growth students demonstrated between 2017 and 2018.  Both of these factors are given equal consideration (29.8% each) when determining the letter grade.  In addition, at the high school level, multiple factors are considered.  These factors include College and Career Readiness Achievement and the 5-year Graduation Rate.  TCSC received 22.62 points for Performance (percent of students passing ISTEP, grades 3-10), 34.05 points for Growth, and 24.3 points for Multiple Measures for a final score of 81. Tipton’s individual schools received the following grades:

  • Tipton Elementary School            B
  • Tipton Middle School                    C
  • Tipton High school                        B
